The flagellum looks like a tail, it makes the cell move, if they did not have it they would float in random directions, it is very easy to see in the picture. There are a lot of animal cells in your body, more than 100 of them are in an adult body. It is called animal cell because it is in animals, there are even plants cells that are in plants. The picture looks like a weird animal but it is not, it is a cell, if you look cells under a high type of microscope they will look like an animal that you cannot see with your eyes.
